The Capstone Buyout Funds

The Capstone U.S. Buyout Fund, L.P. (“CUSBF”) and the Capstone Cayman Buyout Fund, L.P. (“CCBF”) (referred to collectively as “CBF” or “the Funds”) are private equity funds which provide equity capital and convertible debt to distressed lower-middle market companies.  CBF is managed by Capstone Capital Management, Inc. (“Capstone”), which has managed the Capstone family of funds since 2002.  Capstone is registered with the SEC as an Investment Adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

The General Partners of the Capstone Buyout Funds have over 60 years combined experience in managing distressed companies and turnaround situations at various stages of development.  This history allows Capstone to utilize capital and information systems from its Debt Funds by providing the portfolio companies factoring and purchase order financing facilities.  This ability makes Capstone an extremely unique and powerful partner in completing and managing transactions.

Capstone’s investment philosophy is to create value by investing in companies that can utilize capital for growth and positive change.  The investment focus is on capital infusions ranging from $10 to $50 million in established businesses in a broad range of industries throughout the United States.  The companies must have solid management teams, significant market share, revenue and positive cash flow growth with capital structure and or balance sheet issues for which the CBF can supply solutions.  The solutions include taking an as needed hands-on approach while providing management teams the capital and extensive resources necessary to grow.
